Anyway, it was a rainy weekend but we loved it. Stayed at Pocahantas campground.
M, what do you think of this campground?
(She loves it! No rednecks and lots of rules about booze & generators!)
We walked Pocahantas Trail that first Fri evening.
Then Sulpher Skyline the next day
And the hot springs each night. Aaahhh
Sunday we went down Snaring Road, on the N side of the Athabasca River E of the townsite, which becomes a very rugged one way road. Cool!
Did the Celestine Lake trail, it got rainy & we turned back at Patricia Lake.
Then the $6.75 cheeseburger special at the Whistle Stop Pub.
It was a great trip. We met a couple of bigtme mountain enthusiasts that got us fired up to do more, and who gave us some great suggestions (Mt Robson!) and the determination to track our trips better.
HENCE THIS BLOG!

I loved this campground -quiet, peaceful, beautiful.
